Business Development Manager (Automotive Sales)

Business Development Manager

Business Development Manager who is committed to growing existing department. This individual will manage the Business Development Center, which is ESSENTIAL in handling and guiding dealership traffic. You will assist team members in setting the tone & expectation for the Customers Experience with Ross Downing. As a Business Development Manager, you will be expected to train, mentor, and motivate your teammates.

Applicants who consider themselves qualified and ambitious are encouraged to apply. Automotive Sales Experience is required, Automotive BDC Experience is not required, but preferred.

Business Development Manager Responsibilities:

  • Managing the room (BDC) and leading by example
  • Maximizing sales and profitability of the call center to agreed levels of performance
  • Navigate CRM (VINs) seamlessly and utilize tools available for peak performance
  • Collecting and analyzing metrics/running reports
  • Creating and maintaining a process-driven work environment
  • Motivating and training (you are the sales teams strength coach in this position)

A BDM manages the "BDC" and is a supplement to the Sales Managers so that they have the information to manage the sales team.

You will manage the BDC which is staffed in shifts by the sales representatives for the following:

  • Executing inbound/outbound dials and following up with customers. This includes Internet leads as well
  • Answering customer inquiries in a timely manner, with authenticity and accuracy
  • Possessing a knowledge of the services and dealership promotions
  • Setting appointments to drive traffic into the dealership
  • Logging customer information

Qualifications:

  • Automotive Sales Experience or
  • Automotive BDC experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with the management team
  • Ability to lead by example and motivate a team of representatives
  • Upbeat, high energy, and persuasive in nature
  • Committed to growing the department!
  • Task and process-oriented
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Be Coachable & Teachable
